Siouxland Habitat for Humanity is continuing their efforts to change lives by building safe, decent, affordable homes in Siouxland. They are now accepting applications, through February 28, for future home builds in Sioux City, Hull, and Hawarden.
The Sioux City Habitat structure will be a townhome and become home to two families. The townhome’s location is in the Unity Elementary School area. The Hull home on Maple St. and the Hawarden house will be single family dwellings.
Families who can demonstrate a need for safe, decent, and affordable housing and the inability to get it without Habitat are encouraged to learn the qualifying prerequisites. Applications are available online at SiouxlandHabitat.org under the Own a Home tab or by calling Habitat to make an appointment to pick one up at the office. After hours, the application forms are available in a box inside the office entryway.
Completed applications can be scanned and emailed to info@siouxlandhabitat.org or delivered to the Siouxland Habitat for Humanity office located at 1150 Tri-View Ave in Sioux City.
We believe that everyone deserves a safe, decent, and affordable home. Unfortunately for too many, the inability to get a traditional home loan stands in the way of that dream. Habitat reduces or eliminates many of the barriers to homeownership so more families can thrive in a place they can call their own.
We firmly believe that though shelter, families are empowered to take care of themselves and their families, build their own futures, and feel the stability that owning a home provides.

Siouxland Habitat for Humanity, founded in 1992, is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International – a Christian housing ministry. Families and individuals in need of a hand-up partner with Habitat for Humanity to build a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes and pay an affordable mortgage. Through shelter, we empower.
