Stewardship

Fiscal responsibility is a matter of integrity and we take this responsibility very seriously.

We consider sound stewardship to be a part of our Christian mandate. When we receive a financial or other type of donation we make every effort to use those resources wisely, operating every single day with a driving sense of fiscal responsibility. We also want to be transparent when our community of donors and supporters have questions about how funds are being utilized. Our Partners

Partnerships strengthen our mission. We work with a multitude of companies, foundations, and government institutions. They support our work financially, through materials and labor in-kind donations, and volunteer work.

International corporations who support Habitat for Humanity on a global level and impact us here locally include:


Whirlpool 

Since 1999 Whirlpool has donated ranges and refrigerators to EVERY new Habitat home. Our partner families also have the opportunity to purchase additional large appliances at discount pricing. 

Lowe’s 

A national corporate partner since 2003, Lowe's provides monetary grants to help build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. Locally Lowe’s provides in-kind donations of new construction and household items.

Levolor 

Provides privacy window blinds to every Habitat home built in North America.

Yale

Since becoming a national Habitat for Humanity partner in 2001, Yale continues to provide mechanical locks and door hardware to Habitat homes, including Habitat homes in Siouxland.

Schneider Electric

Through this partnership Schneider Electric contributes electrical equipment used in Habitat homes.

Local Community Partners

Siouxland Habitat for Humanity is excited to partner with community businesses, educational, and other non-profit organizations who share our mission. We provide a tangible experience for those wanting to affect a positive and sustainable change in this community.

Congregations and Faith Communities

Come together to combine their volunteer, fundraising, and prayer efforts to help realize our vision.

Sioux City Community Schools

Their Career Academy class of juniors and seniors work with construction faculty to build one Habitat home per year.

Center for Siouxland

Provides HUD financial counseling classes to our partner family homeowners.

Center for Financial Education, Sioux Center

Provides financial counseling classes to our partner family homeowners in our northernmost service county.

Security National Bank

Provides new homeowner budgeting classes to our partner families. 

Mozak's Furniture & Flooring

Encourages their customers to donate their usable furniture to our ReStore when purchasing new items for their homes. 

Pioneer Cabinetry

Encourages their customers to donate their usable cabinets to our ReStore when purchasing new items for their homes.
