Future Homeowners Needed
If you know of a family living in inadequate housing, they may be eligible to become a Habitat for Humanity homeowner. Call 712-255-6244, or write to Siouxland Habitat for Humanity, P.O. Box 5318, Sioux City, IA 51102, or send email to [ email ] to request an application, or you can download an application from this website. (See below) There are some specific guidelines, including level of financial need, willingness to become partners in the program by providing "sweat equity" in the home, and their ability to repay the no-interest loan. Every project follows a non-discriminatory policy of family selection. Neither race nor religion is a factor is choosing the families which will receive Habitat homes.
Note: The applications are set up as .pdf files, which requires Adobe Reader to view. The reader is available for free download at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html)
